Im going to explain something about Chicago here for a moment: Chicago is known to have very strange digital modulations around the area. Chicago is also a BIG paging city, using half of Indiana Paging network's transmitters, along with FLEX, reFLEX, AFSKAudio Frequency-Shift Keying POCSAG, and POCSAG. As well as EDACS narrowband control channels, lots of kenwood nexedges, P25, (I and II), and several others.

This one sounds like the 550.06 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz unidentified I listened to. Maybe from a monitor?
