This text message mode supports encryption and different FSKFrequency-Shift Keying speeds (with non-stock firmware) and rudimentary mesh networking through each radio repeating a received message so it can be received further from the original sender's position. Transmission length is more or less the same regardless of message length. It is somewhat similar visually and audibly to APRSAutomatic Packet Reporting System, an amateur radio-based system for real time tactical digital communications of information of immediate value in the local area but is not cross compatible. Each message can contain up to 30 characters including alphabetical and most symbols.

Decoding Software[edit]

Though this can likely be decoded easily with QTMM or WINAFSK as the default firmware cannot encrypt these messages, there is little information on how.
