  • Equipment supplied by Wabtec, MeteorComm
  • Utilizes the 220 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz frequency band
  • Equipment manufactured by MeteorComm
  • Communicates between wayside and Vehicle

Characteristics[edit]

  • Protocol Structure is a proprietary “ITCNet”, OSI 7 layer TCP/IPInternet protocol protocol
  • Messaging Standard is ITC AAR Standard, Class D messages, Edge Message Protocol (EMP)
  • Maximum bit rate is determined by radio (TCP/IPInternet protocol is 10 Mbps)
