HP EliteBook 8560W RFRadio Frequency Interference
This signal is emitted from the HP EliteBook 8560W. It is present at all times when the laptop is powered on. Touching the touch pad increases the signal strength dramatically.
The signal is centered at 50.9 Khz. It swaps between 2 frequencies +- ~153 HzHertz (Hz), unit of frequency, defined as one cycle per second (1 Hz). from the center frequency. Each tone lasts approximately 125 msmilliseconds (.001 of a second).
It is unknown why this signal is generated, or why it acts like an idling FSKFrequency-Shift Keying signal. It is speculated that this is unintended interference from the laptop.
The IQQuadrature signals form the basis of complex RF signal modulation and demodulation, both in hardware and in software, as well as in complex signal analysis. file was recorded by using the built-in soundcard as a crude VLFVery Low Frequency (3-30 kHz) receiver, with a random wire antenna. Nearby VLFVery Low Frequency (3-30 kHz) receivers will also hear the same thing.
