Wi-Fi HaLow (IEEE 802.11ah) is a sub-1 GHzGigaHertz (GHz) 10^9 Hz Wi-Fi standard optimized for long-range, low-power IoTInternet of Things connectivity, supporting up to several kilometers of coverage with efficient penetration through walls. It uses narrower channel widths (1–16 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz) and advanced modulation schemes to balance range, throughput, and power efficiency.

Frequencies[edit]

  • Europe: 863-868 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz
  • US: 902-928 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz

HaLow can operate using 1, 2, 4, 8, & 16 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz channels within the 750-928 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz band.
