The beeper strange signal that I have been hearing for months I was on the beach at our lake , coordinates 50:12' 30" N 117:17'44" W I have a Tecsun PL606 receiver 20160819 Fri 1800 gmt The beeper , beeps at HzHertz (Hz), unit of frequency, defined as one cycle per second (1 Hz). repetition rate , does not appear to be data, it beeps for about a minute then there is a short data burst then beeping again for a minute or 2 this went on for over an hour beep beep beep station on all frequencies between 13400-13800khz then on 20160820 start 1745 gmt the beeper is not on 13400-13800 but now on all frequencies between 12120 -12250 update I received it when I am at the beach with my Tecsun pl606 radio 11am-3pm time slot MDTMobile Data Terminal, A mobile data terminal (MDT) is a computerized device used in public transit vehicles, taxicabs, commercial trucking fleets, military logistics, and emergency vehicles, such as police cars, to communicate with a central dispatch office. On 20161001 - 1pm MDTMobile Data Terminal, A mobile data terminal (MDT) is a computerized device used in public transit vehicles, taxicabs, commercial trucking fleets, military logistics, and emergency vehicles, such as police cars, to communicate with a central dispatch office. I received it via utwente sdr in Holland , it sounds slightly different but same repetition rate, but no apparent carriers but the signal strength is much higher_ I cannot hear the audio of it when using the kiwi sdr in new Zealand but the spectral display shows evidence of the 3 carriers 13388 khz 13418 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz and 13379 khz _ I receive it via sdr at Univ of Victoria bc when I listen form this location it sounds very similar to the signals I received at the beach with my handheld PL606 radio It seems to start at 13388n KHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz and extends to 13640 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz it is on all frequencies in between ,_ Using a the handheld Tecsun PL606 radio you can hear subtle differences of the modulation between the low end at 13388 and the high end , does not seem to have any center frequency When listening via uvic sdr , it has 3 carriers 13388 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz 13418 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz and 13479 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz I captured the spectral display of it and the waterfall of the signals showing it between 13388 and 13640 Its repetition rate is 2hz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pXokyn-ba8 (NO AUDIO)
