I honestly dont know what this format of AFSKAudio Frequency-Shift Keying 1200 this is but somebody must be sending weather data via minimodem...Ywsia1

You are correct. Decoding this with Sorcerer @ 1200 HzHertz (Hz), unit of frequency, defined as one cycle per second (1 Hz). / 1200 BdBaud (unit symbol Bd) is the unit for symbol rate or modulation rate in symbols per second. with 8O1 framing gets me weather data. Decoded data:

You're serious? It's minimodem? Ywsia1

You know what I did find out, you can get these types of data from the NWS on their website, for any area in the US. So somebody must be taking this text document, using a modulator plugin or some modem of some sort, to modulate this AFSKAudio Frequency-Shift Keying on this frequency with the 8O1 framing. I myself did that once (yesterday), but I did not transmit over the waves, because I wanted to see how it would sound with different modulated tones first. Plus I have no license, so it would've been illegal. But the stupid thing is, anything that is outside the weather band is usually reserved in Michigan, and there's usually nothing I hear other than interference from neighboring devices. Ywsia1, 3 27 2017 10:30.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! This is a form of EMWIN!!! It has been requested for a LONG time till I found it just recently, and has the exact description of what you and I are talking about. And what this weather data you decoded is indeed a form of EMWIN. Repeaters and satellites can transmit images and weather table data such as this across these types. Ywsia1 (talk) 1242 EDT.

Is this a frequency in use by the EMWIN network? I'm not familiar with the waveforms in use by EMWIN, and yes EMWIN has been in the request list for quite a while. It'd be great to finally add it. --Cartoonman (talk) 05:03, 3 April 2017 (NZST)

Yes, but on 163.325 being used by the GOVT.

Good ID Ywsia1. This is one of the repeaters in use by the network on VHFVery High Frequency (30-300 MHz). This retransmits data that comes from the GOES satellites, which is way up in the 1600 MHzMegaHertz (MHz) 10^6 Hz band, and they use a different modulation and speed for that. --Cartoonman (talk) 05:31, 3 April 2017 (NZST)

I want to do this. I've been a big fan of weather since I was a boy, and this doesn't need a license other than contacting the EMs to put up the towers to transmit a max of 100 watts. However, I just wish I could use different modulations that I made up, still specified at 1200 baudBaud (unit symbol Bd) is the unit for symbol rate or modulation rate in symbols per second., 2400 baudBaud (unit symbol Bd) is the unit for symbol rate or modulation rate in symbols per second. and the 9600 baudBaud (unit symbol Bd) is the unit for symbol rate or modulation rate in symbols per second.. Can't though because emission is F1D. Having to do with regular sounding AFSKAudio Frequency-Shift Keying, I could still transmit the info needed of the stations ID embedded unless if there needs to be Morse code Identifier.. It would be quite fun. Ywsia1.

I have also found out that you can just use listen port #2211 for transmitting EMWIN on your PC without the complicated software, just using TCP/IPInternet protocol, as well as UDP, over the internet.
